  1. Hello, Does anyone have experience of going into core training in Psychiatry after being a specialty doctor in another specialty for several years? In particular, were you able to secure pay protection and continue on your specialty doctor salary, as the NHS Employers guidance appears to support? Thanks in advance for any information.
  2. Sorry that you appear not have received any replies to this question. I am now in a similar situation, applying for core training after several years as a specialty doctor. Were you able to get pay protection? Thanks for any information you can offer.
  3. Hello, I am currently applying for core training in psychiatry and I live in Hertfordshire. I have been able to find a fair amount of information online about commutable London CT rotations (North Central and North West), but very little about Hertfordshire core training. For various practical reasons it would be preferable for me to train in Herts but I can't find out what the training is like. I would be very grateful if anyone can help. Is there plenty of support? Is the organised teaching good? Are there opportunities to pursue individual interests? Are consultants generally nice and do they get along with one another? Do trainees get the higher training posts they want? Are the on-calls particularly busy or frequent? Any information on NW and NC London rotations would be helpful too. Thank you very much indeed...
