  1. Check whether the house you are buying is freehold or leasehold
  2. I have no doubts, Kangaroos will rout lions in the final
  3. I don't agree with you Euthymic. It is , of course, ones right to do whatever he/she pleases, but we all live in a society which is bound by certain norms. And, as members, we are all expected to follow those norms. I guess the matter is different when thigs are done more privately. Richard Gere may have different moral standards , but, I personally feel, he should have been more respectful of the audience.
  4. This is a perfect example of 'losing touch with reality'. May be , we could ask this video to be placed on the College website for educational purposes

Hi Sandoc, That's sounds interesting. Are you breaking away from a career in psychiatry to do MBA in India ? If you don't mind, could you give us little more information about the course you are having an interview for ?

Whoops, sorry, Please read it as - pressure in place of presuure.

Euthymic, I had precisely the same doubt about distance learning MBA. I phoned the Leicester Buisness School to enquire about their MBA programme. They said , quality wise, their distance learning MBA is at par with the full time MBA programme . At the end of the course, the certificate that you receive does not have words ' distance learning ' printed on it. When I put a presuure on the person to comment on the use of distance learning MBA in securing a job in any industry- he avoided answering it very tactfully. Edingburgh , I guess, offers a distance learning MBA programme.
  9. A woman parked her brand-new Lexus in front of her office, ready to show it off to her colleagues. As she got out, a truck passed too close and completely tore off the door on the driver's side. The woman immediately grabbed her cell phone, dialed 100, and within minutes a policeman pulled up Before the officer had a chance to ask any questions, the woman started screaming hysterically. Her Lexus, which she had just picked up the day before, was now completely ruined and would never be the same, no matter what the body shop did to it. When the woman finally wound down from her ranting and raving, the officer shook his head in disgust and disbelief. 'I can't believe how materialistic you women are,' he said. 'You are so focused on your possessions that you don't notice anything else.' 'How can you say such a thing?' asked the woman. The cop replied, &quot:lol:on't you know that your left arm is missing from the elbow down? It must have been torn off when the truck hit you.' 'OH MY GOD!' screamed the woman. 'Where's my new bracelet?'
  10. Hi Fonz, My friend is a first year SpR in Forensic in North West Deanery. He has just started his LLM. I will ask him to respond to your query soon.

No furtado, I'm not Rajiv Pressie, That's precisely what I have also been pondering on lately. I'm not necessarily a management person, but I would certainly like to devote a part of my time sitting on executive committees

Dear folder, I agree that most of us would not digrace from a medical career in future, and hence, an MBA may sound a bit extreme at this stage, but I think childpsych is right in saying that it would certainly not go waste. We're not sure what we have on our plates in future. Health care services are becoming commercial at a frightening pace in some parts of the world and are viewed as buisness ventures requiring specific management skills for operation. An MBA may help by placing us in better positions in future.

Thank you very much slartibartfast and childpsych, You have provided a very valuable information To childpsych, The distance learning course you have suggested sounds really good as it can be fitted well around other committments. Just a small query as I'm quite new to the arena of finance and buisness management - would the rating of the course vary depending on the method of study ?, I'm not likely to leave psychiatry to take up a job in management in future - so it should not matter much , But I'm just asking out of interest, Please advise, Thanks once more

    Thanks sandoc, That's truly helpful

Dear Sandoc, Yes, I think we need GMAT before undertaking MBA programme.
