  1. Hmmm..someone enquired about a book with a 'borderline' person as a character...may i be so bold as to recommend sylvia plaths Bell Jar... Strongly suggestive of a co morbid pd..
  2. Grass Arena.
  3. Friday December 19. Think they normally post them in the morning. Both Paper 1 and 2 will be posted on that date. Best of Luck with it.
  4. Recently read The Grass Arena by John healy... a brutal autobiographical account of alcoholism...fascinating and compelling insight into the twilight world of a homeless ,down and out, alcoholic.
  5. Spider Rosemary s Baby Bad Boy Bubby through a glass darkly The Seventh Veil the Man with the Golden Arm Zelig Taxi driver The Deer Hunter One flew Over the Cuckoos Nest I Stand Alone A Clockwork Orange The Lost weekend Memento Spellbound Not all hollywood shows but nearly all bonafide classics with a wide range of disorders and depictions of institutions represented. Enjoy .
  6. Watchful waiting was the answer after three days(also offered reassurance, individual and group debriefing). Then asked after 2 months and appropriate answer was trauma focused individual cbt(also group cbt as option), then at 4 months(I think , the major thing being that one question was less than 3/12 and the other was the pt presenting > 3/12)..answer then would be emdr.
  7. Reckon it had its content of weird and wonderful questions ,which as past paper 2 exams have displayed, will lead to a low pass mark. However it was my first time sitting it today and felt that overall it was not as daunting as i had been led to believe.A mix of basic, practical and straightforward application of knowledge, with more in depth requirements in places.I think some of the questions were just very poorly written and clumsily put together. Then we had the rates of reading difficulties in Japanese children type questions...(5 % i believe but can be corrected)...irrelevancy to absurd levels, and essentially paper 3 material to boot(ok epidemiology conceded!!).. Overall not too disspirited. John
  8. Just looking for some feedback on paper 2 syllabus(particularly from those who may be doing it for a second time).Do they ask questions in relation to associative learning i.e. classical and operant conditioning or has that been safely consigned to paper 1.? Further is social psychology part of the content for this paper??(Have questions been asked on prior papers?)... I have covered developmental psychology again, it would appear to fit in with the material pre ordained by the college for paper 2, (even though it was a topic covered in paper 1, certainly last february when i sat it.) Any tips/pointers/opinions greatly appreciated Cheers John
  9. Thanks for that.Yeah , i ve covered them in respect of classification needs, but certainly not in respect of neuroanatomy... Would presume that neuropathology comes under the banner of paper 2 exclusively...?
