  1. There is a guide from the BMA as to what to charge for reports. The last couple of reports I used that as a gulde. (Sorry I don't have it to handat present but try the BMA website). Your consutant might have a protocol he uses which could guide you.
  2. Obviously not!
  3. So have I. Help, nocturnal!
  4. HA Ha ha - Tired, sarcastic laugh....
  5. My colleague & I might be in a similar position. We are both pay- protected (were previously staff grades) and now in 2nd and 3rd yr SpR posts respectively. Most SpRs have just rotated, and we have been told by med. staffing at our respective Trusts that that there is a new 'national' policy where SpRs don't get paid extra banding for on-calls which will be paid as extra sessions instead. The end result is a salray drop! Med. staffing do not have clear details yet and we have not signed or even seen the new contracts yet. Has anyone else encountered this? Can you shed some light on it pls :-?

  10. Difficult position to be in. To avoid losing this substantive post you might need to take it up while looking elsewhere for a better paying post. You need to weigh up the pros and cons - job stability/ security as substantive vs higher salary as locum..... :-/
  11. Try these links. http://www.nnuh.nhs.uk/docs%5Cdocuments%5C236.pdf http://www.kingsfund.org.uk/leadership/management_for_2.html There's one coming up in June in London. I have the details at work. I'll post them on monday

  15. today'sFUNNY============================ A teacher was giving a lesson on the circulation of blood. Trying to make the matter clearer, she said, 'Now, class, if I stood on my head, the blood, as you know, would run into it, and I would turn red in the face.' 'Yes,' the class said. 'Then why is it that while I am standing upright in the ordinary position the blood doesn't run into my feet?' A little fellow shouted, 'Cause your feet ain't empty.' www.mikeysFunnies.com
