change of passport - UK visa

I got my ILR last year ...i have my UK visa in my previous passport ...my old passport is expired ..so i have got a new passport ...

can you please let me know if i need to apply for ILR again in new pasport ?

in my opinion you should carry both passports. you don't need new ILR stamp on new passport. your old passport has expired but not ILR stamp.all immigration stamps on arrivals and departures will be stamped on you new passport.

But there is still a provision to get new ILR stamp on your new passport and if you don't mind shelling hundreds of pounds then you can but its not essential.

I have travelled with my expired passport (ILR Stamp in it) for over a year. No one said anything. They stamp the new passport at immigration with VIPP (visa in previous passport).

Save your money, no need to apply for another stamp
