Which of the following is not a diagnostic criterion for Alzheimers disease?
Choose one answer.
a. Exclusion of other conditions   b. Gradual memory loss   c. General cerebral atrophy on CT scan   d. Decline in functioning   e. Apathy

2 different answer given at different places ,which one is correct

Apathy is more characteristic of sub cortical dementia, I would probably choose apathy.

Any other opinions.

The following features support the diagnosis, but are not necessary elements: Involvement of cortical 
functions as evidenced by aphasia, agnosia or apraxia; decrease of motivation and drive, leading to apathy and lack of 
 spontaneity; irritability and disinhibition of social behaviour; evidence from special investigations that there is 
cerebral atrophy, particularly if this can be shown to be increasing over time. In severe cases there may be 
Parkinson-like extrapyramidal changes, logoclonia, and epileptic fits. 
 
so not sure if apthy or general cerebral atrophy
