Best compact camera

19 posts in this topic

Hi, I want to upgrade my camera, have a 9 year old Sony cybershot which I haven't laid eyes on for ages. Have been snapping pics with the iPhone. I don't want to buy a bulky DSLR, but something between that and the basic aim and shoot. Any suggestions?

One of my friends suggested the Sony DSC-QX10, which is used with smartphones. Has anyone used it? And is it worth buying?

Why don't you try trusted reviews and DP review as well.

I'm waiting for my 4 yr old bridge camera to die...

http://www.amazon.co.uk/Fujifilm-X100S-Digital-Camera-Processor/dp/B00AX12ZL8

Fuji X100S..

also comes with a "Recommended by WebMaster" stamp... cant go wrong..

and by the way, there is NO price for Awesomeness !

Nice one Sagir-would definitely recommed this--but check the sample picks on trusted for the x100

After much deliberation about whether to buy Sony or a Samsung or Canon or Fujifilm, I went and bought a Sony NEX5T today. Debated between the NEX5T (16megapixel) and A5000 (20 megapixel), but went for the former as it has a hot shoe(which I may or may not use, but it's there if I want to attach a viewfinder)

I shall set it up tonight. Let's see what happens and what I can do with it.

It's fantastic! Just the thing I wanted. Excellent clarity even in low light, haven't really used the external flash. Very pleased with the camera.
