If it's just psychiatry you're interested in then Cardiff university has a distance learning MSc. Looks interesting but I don't know anyone who's done it.  Maybe someone on the forum could provide some info? I wonder how much coursework you have to do

Thanks. I might do that, there's still three weeks left before they close enrolment for this year.

Hi,

I have finished the second year in Cardiff and I can't fail it in any way. It was the best money spent. I am self funding and need to take a break in studies, but the course is well run and structured. It is time consuming and of course you need to do your bits, but it gave me the focus and structure I needed. Plus, it will give you MRCPsych extras and freebies.

In terms of psychotherapy, I have done CertHe at Birkbeck and was accepted for their MSc but you usually need a day for it. I am not sure, if those things run online or distance, because you need to sit in the groups and possibly have some hands on experience. I hope that helps.

If you are a UK or EU citizen you can do  distance Msc with a number of universities in Europe without needing to pay. I know for a fact that this is possible in Sweden and Norway . There's info online.

Home learning offers a range of benefits to anyone trying to combine work with study. Get MSC degree from distance learning center.
