Hi !

I am core trainee psychiatrist working at sussex

Hi !

i was wondering if someone can help me with this question ?

Regarding the neuronal resting membrane potential ,which of the following is true ?

a.Depolarise with rapid moving out sodium

b.Depolarise with moving out of potassium

c.Hyper polarise with moving out of chloride

d.Depolarise with rapid cellular entry of potassium

e.Depolarise with rapid cellular entry of sodium

answer is e but I think will be b?its basically the same ?can someone clarify this for me,please ?

i believe depolarization is rapid cellular entry of sodium, and repolarization is potassium exiting cell.
