what is beneficial for overseas trainees? observor post in uk or practicing with colleagues?

hi,everyone ,can someone please tell me which is more beneficial,taking up an observer post in psychiatry  for a week or so or just studying in groups or friends [who are nonactors] scenarioes ?i  m confused?

Hi Rahman

I feel both are equally important. One week is too short to get the benifit from a observer post. Atleast a month is required. You can ask help from registrars and consultants to give you feedback on your interviewing style.

While you dedicate the morning time observing patients,evenings can be spent for practice with other exam going candidates. You may even find some trainees taking the exam in  that place and you can do face to face practice  along with skyping.
