CAPE (Clinical Attachment Programme for East of England) for international psychiatrists

1 post in this topic

Dear all,

Our new attachment programme, CAPE, is now open to applications for international psychiatrists.

Essentially, the CAPE (Clinical Attachment Programme for East of England) offers international (non-EU) psychiatrists an attachment programme and supports them through their visit to facilitate their transition to the UK.  Applications from doctors prior to starting psychiatry would also be considered.

In the 3 months attachment period (extendable to 6 months), the CAPE attendees will have the opportunity to observe clinical setting in the community, specialist, and acute services in the NHS. They will have access to local MRCPsych courses (for exam preparation) and will get professional support through mentors and peers during their stay. The goal is to support international psychiatrists into specialty training programmes in the East of England.

Please visit our website for more detailed information and application forms.

You can also find us on twitter: @CAPE_EoE

Deadline for first round of applications is 5th January 2018.

Please contact me if you have any queries.

Many thanks,

Dr Muzaffer Kaser
