It restores me faith in human nature when I hear of the rate that money is coming in for aid contributions. The scale of this disaster is mind-boggling.

Seems like many tsunami survivors are receiving counselling! I've seen a canadian psychologist on TV counselling a woman through an interpreter. Given that post event counselling has not been found helpful and if anything can worsen outcome and that counselling is a culture bound intervention. I wonder what people think. Hani

this is probably the worst catastrophe of modern times..just shows that despite all the progress mankind has made, mother nature can still turn things devastatingly upside down in the matter of minutes.

but despite the losses, it is heartening to see the response by the world community..magnanimous.

lets pray for peace....
