Experiences when one enters a new  team

2 posts in this topic

Perhaps , I thought we will discuss this issue in forum how one feels and how much he/she is welcomed to the team especially when you rotate and enter to speciality jobs like child psychiatry etc as a SHO .It is obviously a new subject and everyone in team are experienced than you psycholgists, family therapists,CPNs and etc...you enter there and you recognise you are expected to contribute...which makes the whole experience in the beginning very tough...can you open yourself and tell them you are keen to learn ..but can you in reality..or otherwise raise it with your consultant ..then what support can u expect from him..or how quickly you can learn things especially about the team, what they do etc.from my experience i feel it is quite nerve wrecking ...would welcome if people come with suggestions of how best you could perform ...or advice ::)
