hi friends,

any clue about the ISQ

In Kluver Bucy Syndrome Metmorphosis occurs like that??

Answer: True (The syndrome is named for Heinrich Klüver and Paul Bucy, who removed the temporal lobe bilaterally in rhesus monkeys in an attempt to determine its function. This caused the monkeys to develop visual agnosia, emotional changes, altered sexual behavior, hypermetamorphosis and oral tendencies).

Hypermetamorphosis: Excessive and rapid change of ideas occurring in a mental disorder.

Some of these questions have come up before:

1. spirits are more likely to cause alcohol dependency than beer. - This is an old one - False

2. laws of closure and difference are seen in Gestalt - I put false

3. patients on TCA are morelikely than tose on SSRI to stop due to side effects - can't remember

4. significant weight loss is seen with fluoxetine - the old question version was 'excessive'.

also on the EMIs

the old widow hearing her husbands voice - pathological grief or depression (I put pathological grief)

the schizophrenic having his BP done and keeping arm up - mithegen or waxy flex (Waxy flexibility is the answer that was given in past papers to this one)
