I would recommend Oxford Handbook of Clinical Psychiatry. Easy to read and carry. It would also help for the exams(as they stand now)

Enjoy ur time in psychiatry! :)

Psychiatry by Neel Burton is a new textbook which is easy to read and makes the subject very interesting with references from art, literature, and history.  It also has boxes on clinical skills, a life-saver for budding psychiatrists.
