I  recieved an offer of FTST3 from WM yesterday!

that now completes the round one for me...

applied to scot, northern, wales and W Midlnds

got shortlisted by all 4 ...

the first three offered ST3 while WM happy to give FTST3...

just want to know if anyone else in similar position or even better (i.e 4 run-thru offers)

I am always indebted to the almighty who showered me with his grace...

and may he be generous to all my friends who are still awaiting a positive outcome

but at the expense of coming across as a narcissistic b*****d i would add that it surely cant be all luck if you get selected in 3 countries by 4 panels whilst competing against 4 different cohorts of peers???

i feel vindicated actually coz thats all i have heard till now.... 'you got lucky'  >:(

Well anyone with 4 offers is fantastic news for people on reserve lists.. so let's hope there's loads of similarly talented/lucky/whatever psychiatrists out there!

one or more? ST or FTSTA? Doesn't make much difference as long as you can satisfy yourself. No one's gonna get more than one CCT!!

But well done docpurrs.

Well done everyone who managed to secure a job. Good luck to those who are waiting to.

dear alcapone

could it not be vindication??

after having been ribbed all along for being lucky i guess this was a statistically significant way of  answering back ('results do the talking') .... You would surely know about odds and chance having done your part2...

Common guys yes MTAS and MMC was pretty messed up chaotic and not the best way to choose the right candidate , but still people were interviewed by independent panels and if someone got through 3 of the 4 interview he went to he has got some right to say he did well. IF PUrrs did well then I think we should just congratulate him and not make him the target of our misplaced anger.

From my side well done mate, keep it up !!!!! and do impart ur wisdom , interview techniques to other candidates who will be sitting round 2 ( dont get mean yeah!!)

I think MTAS has made us so selfish and fearful of ourselves that we don't want to let us down by acknowledging others' achievements

Given ur eagerness to show off and ur lack of empathy at this difficult time for many very competent doctors I am not sure the panels made the right decision.

And I am sturggling to stay polite.

I have to agree with joeybug....

I was fortunate to be offered 3 run-through training posts, but I put that down to luck more than anything else. I know my unsuccessful colleagues are equally competent, and are excellent doctors. I think now is a time for being supportive rather than rubbing our colleagues noses in it!!

there is a chinese proverb saying that it doesn't matter how many rooms your house has, since you only sleep in one....

I am not very sure about this thread....

I personally think it is a bit insensitive....

given that so many people are spending their time refreshing their mails again and again....I would prefer silence to identifying who managed to get many offers....!
