Check your trust's relocation policy. Speak to HR.

I suggest checking with the Trust.

I think some trusts provide support for permanent posiyions.

Key worker is another site that helps but I am not sure whether they support doctors.

I have similar questions myself but I am sure the Keyworker support does not include doctors/ dentists

key worker schemes include people working in public sectors.

this includes doctors aswell

the essesntial issue would be the visa status ,they would only give it to drs with PR

sometimes rules can be flexible if they r looking desperatly for clients

keyworker schemes are definately including psychiatrists....

trusts have a relocation policy and I am sure the link has been posted some time ago here on this forum..!

good luck!

As an FTSTA you have no job security and may well be employed by August 2008. Don't put a financial noose around your neck by taking out a mortgage when you may have no way of meeting the repayments.

Oh, and doctors and dentists are specifically excluded from the keyworker schemes. Sorry.

I am just wondering how easy it is to get carried away when one buys a property!

It is really exciting and worth enjoying that time. But also need to keep in mind

that impulsive decisions about shopping can be expensive.

Do people have any experiences that they can share with us:

what is worth watching and worth delaying etc?

Don't worry about getting carried away because you will have months to mull over your choice before you are actually committed. It takes aaaaaaaaaages to get exchange of contracts and you can pull out up until this point although this is obviously frowned upon!

I am so excited. We have just bought/offer accepted on a property. Our first buy, so obviously very special. Just wanted to share it with the forum. :)

I can't concentrate on work. Keep browsing online catalogues :-/

Don't want to be a spoilsport, but if you possibly can hang on to your excitement, try and reign it in until you get the results of the survey...just in case. I've been there, done that- got all enthusiastic (mentally choosing curtains/paint/furniture etc) to find out the place was riddled with death watch beetle and dry rot. Devastating at the time. :'( :'( :'(

However I'm a firm believer that these things were meant to be for a reason, and we wouldn't have got the place we have now if that one hadn't fallen through....Although come to think of it, that might have been all to the good, as we will be 10 years into our Grand Design come Christmas...and it's still not finished.

But at least we no longer have a cement mixer in the hall. ::)

Is it a girl thing? Dunno!

We've been loooking at property and I've already done and redone furniture and colour schemes, mentally designed each room, taken my (bemused?) husband round the shops, accumulated glossy mags... So exciting!!

I think it's a girl thing...hubby was far more cautious than me, and certainly never had the place mentally decorated before contracts were exchanged. It's probably XX.

What do the guys fantasize about when buying houses I wonder?
