MTAS APLLICATION SYNDROME ICD10 Fxxx

I am currently considering the submission of the criteria for ICD Classification for a new syndrome much along the same lines as 'female sexual dysfunction syndrome and the latest Unable to achieve their potential syndrome - some useless psychologist at Southhapton University.

The Criteria would be as following;

1). Anticipatory anxiety prior to release of application form.

2). Bouts of poor self esteem and confidence.

3). Anhedonia, misery and malaise about profession.

4). Intermittent angry outburst, towards GMC, BMA, MTAS, MMC.

5). Urges of violence towards tutors, for their ignorance.

6). Disbelief about lack of training jobs.

7). Writing excesively on form and then having to restructure sentences.

8). Questioning of morals when see others seeking professional interventions for answers.

9). Iritis, conjuctivitis, diplopia, retinitis for staring at computer monitior.

10). Urge to throw computer out of window.

11). Urge to throw self out of window.

12). Machine gun use of expletives.

13). Avoidance of colleagues wanting help ' with their English'.

14). Repetive changing of Deaneries and specialities selected.

15). Reluctance to submit form until last moment.

16). Preoccupation with reviewing the apllication form 'just once more'.

17). Doubts about whether all the questions have been answered.

18). Morbid thoughts that application form will be submitted to Tesco because of computer glitch.

19). Feelings of homicidal rage, self pity and mumbling of 'Why, Why, Why'

20). Putrid, purile, pustulant, petulent, persistant, puky..... and other feelings begining with P.

Very nice Oyaz, I would add in,

Mixed affective symptoms are common, while mostly depressive, patient may be prone to bouts of uncontrollable laughter or spend money inappropriately.

Don't knock it, that might be a good result. At least Tesco look after their staff.

Impairement criteria: Significant social, occupational (meidcal professionals only) and interpersonal impairment present atleast 4 weeks before the opening date and extending through second round.

No age of onset criteria - strong seasonal variation and geographical differnce - almost unheard of across the Atlantic. Though some claims confirm a different presentation of similiar nature but shortlived and well treated.
