Eligibility for New MrcPsych paper 1 and 2

6 posts in this topic

Hi everybody,

Could you please clarify my doubt regarding royal college's criteria for eligibility? It says in Section 2 for trainees in transition(criteria 1c) that trainees who are unemployed after Dec'07 who meet thecriteria in 1a will be allowed to sit paper 1 and 2 until Dec'08.

Please click http://www.rcpsych.ac.uk/pdf/Regulations2008Final%2031-10-07.pdf.

Does that mean who ever has tried Mrcpsych part 1 in the past but now unemployed can sitfor paper 1 and 2?

Cheers!

According to the MrcPsych guidelines, can anyone take Paper 1/2 even if they are unemployed?

Guys????

Is anyone else planning to appear for Paper 1 and 2 under the transition category(of New MRCPsych guidelines) but now unemployed or doing a non-training job( who has tried Part 1 under the old system)?

Reply please!

mans it does say that you can sit it if you're unemployed and have previously attempted Part I, so you should be ok. But if it were me I wouldn't rely on others' interpretations of the rules, I'd contact the College and speak to someone.
