The exam was a so so don`t know really what that means?!The paper sstarted off with some tricky BOF q`s and took some time to get the bearings right.

I was able to answer EMI on time and made some wild guesses for some NOVICE stems....which I had never gone through with the available materials....

some stems which I can reacall are as follows,

1.fingr-nose ataxia caused by

sup colliculs,inf colliculs,pyamidal decussation

2.EMI stem on designs which are conducted to evaluate the cost effectiveness of the studies or between 2 studies...

3.The percentage of reading difficulties in children in Britain

4.The same stem for children in Japan

5.Paraphrenia prevalance rates in over 65`s

6.Al.dementia prevalance rates in over 95`s

more to follow soon ;)

I think I have got the MDMA wrong and GOD how many more to come on the way....I felt the paper was really difficult although there were not many long stemmed questions to read.

I felt the single line questions were many for the BOF.This helped me to keep moving quicker and get to the last one uhh :(

some more questions I can remember

1.Pt with Turner syndrome and the IQ points... By how many IQ points this pt IQ will be less than normal population? In those lines....

2.A police officer arrives at a place to investigate some crime,at the same time a man looks at officer and runs way with out talking to PO.later,PO arrests him out of suspicion and are not ready to listen to any of his explainations.... :-[in those lines...

Options were

Primacy

Halo effect

cannot remember others :(

3.The RANGE OF TIME of puberty in boys

2-3 yrs

3-4yrs

4-5 yrs

5-6yrs

6-7yrs

4.The suicide ideations in adolescent cohort in a yr in britain

5%

10%

15%

5.The prevalance of ADHD in the UK

What papers did you sit this time, Eu?

Reckon it had its content of weird and wonderful questions ,which as past paper 2 exams have displayed, will lead to a low pass mark. However it was my first time sitting it today and felt that overall it was not as daunting as i had been led to believe.A mix of basic, practical and straightforward application of knowledge, with more in depth requirements in places.I think some of the questions were just very poorly written and clumsily put together.

Then we had the rates of reading difficulties in Japanese children type questions...(5 % i believe but can be corrected)...irrelevancy to absurd levels, and essentially paper 3 material to boot(ok epidemiology conceded!!)..

Overall not too disspirited.

Well, unlike some, I found it quite disspiriting actually.

But I managed to laugh my way through. people might have thought I was mad when I laughed aloud when i recognised a question, which incidentally happened only a dozen times. Goes to show how many I knew confidently. BooHoo!

On the brighter side, I dont have to repeat the paper until june next year.
