4 posts in this topic

pls dont kill me !!!!

A man with Parkinson’s Disease develops psychotic symptoms. He has never been on antipschotics before. The best treatment for him is:

1. Quetiapine

2. Amisulpiride

3. Haloperidol

4. Olanzapine

5. Risperidone

i thought ut was quetiapine, but what if there is a choice of clozapine??/

as far as I can remeber, if the question is 'the best drug', it will be clozapine.

If the question is 'most commonly used drug', it will be quetiapine.

Correct me if I am wrong.

Clozapine is the best drug in Parkinsons...even if he is neuroleptic naive , I would still go for Clozapine but if there is no clozapine as an option then obviously Quetiapine.
