i thought it was quetiapine.

according to manchester it is low dose clozapine''good evidence from RCTs''

but i think if patient never been tried on antipsychoticsthen it would probably be quetiapine as birmingham says ''drug of choice in treating parkinsons psychosis.

this is a very tricky one various notes give clozapine and quetiapine as answers ::) if either clozapine or quetiapine comes in choice its easy but when both comes i start banging my head on the wall :-[

I think clozapine is a safer bet coz its a lot better in Psychosis and Parkinsons..

if u look at maudsley guidelines, it first recommends quetiapine. after quetiapine it goes for clozapine.

u dont go bumping someone on clozapine straight away..clozapine has serious practical issues..

if he is new to antipsychotics then deffo quetiapine...but if it says best treatment without the info on being neuroleptic naive then I would go for clozapine
