just wanted to share - i haven't really played a proper game since Feb. and my subconcious is starting to revolt. I woke up today after a dream which entailed a detailed assassin's creed type mission - helping people of a town covertly smuggle scattered civilians , help them escape from the town, and return for more mischief... lots of archways, stealth mode, poison tipped knives, an university, a professor who continued to teach while some of us entered his room through a window and exited using the stairs...good stuff really! best bit in terms og game mechanics was that i was apprently simultaneously helping different escort subjects at different parts of the town, so for some reason i knew when to leave one alone, nip over to the other, and then return to the first , who had by then travelled on his own to a different part of hte town while mingling with groups.. :P

I found out this humbling bit of trivia about my steam account : Your account has been verified, with 108 games, valued at $857.98

I bet some of my steam friends, perhaps all my steam friends will beat this, but i take solace in the thought that i didn't actually spend as much, as I mainly buy at sales.....

I must add that I only found this out while doing some research on how to get the best gaming deals - for both, specific games as well as random finds : http://fragem.blogspot.com/2013/06/the-humongous-gaming-bundle-attempt-to.html

i clocked at $ 897 for 73 games..

if i had 108 games, i'd definitely have surpassed your total by a BIG margin !

Gordon Freeman  LIVES !!!!!

and Source 2 is in development...

A leak of Valve's internal memo mentions HL3, L4D 3 and new Source engine are well in development.. immediate assumption is that they will be released when Valve announce the Steam Box...

or in true Valve fashion, they will release 'when ready'.. now hurry up Gabe and give us some Half Life goodness !

yes.. i am not going to make any guesses because knowing Valve, we might not officially hear anything for the next 2 years..

or if Gabe feels like it, he might make an announcement at GamesCom, for all we know..

Valve are perhaps one of only 2 dev teams (other being Blizzard) that take an awfully long time working on a game, testing it and balancing it to perfection, and will only release info when they feel like it.. and now with Valve probably self-publishing their games, they are not even pressured by publishers to stick to a release date..

anyone else excited about the prospects of Steam OS and the likelihood of an upgrade-able 'console' at home ?

also like the look of new controller designed by Valve.. not sure if an entirely haptic based controller will be accepted at this stage.. most gamers like the reassuring and solid feel of a button and/or joystick... but if Valve nail this haptic, touch based one, then it will be a massive leap forward..

It did keep us coming back to this forum for ages :)

Might have to revive old habits in memory of the late WM...
He is the reason most of us got together and became friends..

Yep, youre reading it right - film SLR cameras, not the digital equivalent.

After all... I can always get one on the cheap when looking for used bodies and I can always pair it with a lens.

Do you think something like that is still worth it today?
